Alohaaa! :)
Let me tell you something..... I love doing my nails! I always see these cool pictures of nails on the internet and then I can't wait to try it on myself! Most things I can't do because I have tiny nails and I don't own any nail pens (strangely) but I will give it a go anyway and see what happens!
Recently I did the marble nail art, and it is a lot of fun! It gets a bit messy but looks fantastic in the end!
As you can see my fingers are a little bit messy! :p But after having a shower and cleaning up it looked a lot cleaner! Marble nail art is very easy to do and this was my first attempt at it, next time I do it I may even write a blog tutorial post about it!
Onto what this post was really meant to be about..... my ombre nails! I have been seeing ombre nails all over instagram and I thought they were really cute for summer! So seeing as the sun has finally decided to come out in England, I figured it was time to try it!
So when I was looking up how to do ombre nails, most tutorials say that you should blob two colors onto a plastic wallet, mix it and then use a sponge to stamp it onto your nails. This did not work at all, it was messy, it wasted my nail polish and then it just dried onto the plastic wallet!
Then I looked at some YouTube tutorials, they said to:
1. Paint your nails white...
2. Get a sponge....
3. Cut a small piece out of it and paint two colors on top of each other onto the flat side of the sponge....
4. Dab it onto your nails. Now this does sound a little bit messy but it works! And this is how it turned out....
You can see that it looks disgustingly messy but with a few cotton buds and nail polish remover it was all cleaned up to look fab!
I think this is a great summer nail art and it's great because you can do it with lots of different colors! I really do love doing my nails and having a look at other peoples nails too! So if you like doing your nails leave your blog address below and I will have a look at them!
